Most Anticipated Romance Novels of 2017

Top 25 Romance Books We Are Excited for in 2017

It's always kind of exciting at the beginning of the year to look ahead and see what new books are coming out. There is always an anticipation of new authors and stories to be discovered, along with a desire to see what anticipated sequels will bring to tried and true characters that we have grown to love.

A few of the books on this list have already been released, but most are in the "to be seen" list…and I, for one, cannot WAIT to see them! Some of them are part of a series, some are stand-alone novels by favorite authors, but all are bound to be a good way to spend some time by the fire this winter, during spring break or even by the beach this summer!

This list is a review of the most eagerly anticipated romance novels of this year.

Happy reading!

This is the third in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series which tells the story of Feyres struggle as war threatens all she cares about.

The basic story for the series begins when Feyre kills a wolf in the woods thinking it will help feed her family. Then a creature from the underworld shows up demanding that Feyre return with him in payment for the life she took. It is there that she meets Tamlin, and fear turns to desire as they fight together to threaten the forces which threaten them, and the world they know.

Why It's On the List This book is at the top (or close to the top) of every. single. list. Seriously, every single oneso, it obviously is on the top of my list too.

Maas is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author who has been nominated for/won numerous awards. She is known for her action/romance and the great back-and-forth between the characters.

Lust always trumps logic boasts the cover of this novel AMEN! chants the Hallelujah Choir (me) in the background!

This story is told from the perspective of a Dating Game-style contestant who is being asked ridiculous questions by a woman I couldnt see, but whose voice made my pants tighten and not around my ankles. After that rather tempting introduction to the main characters, the setting shifts to a remote island paradise where they are supposed to spend 6 weeks getting to know each other, and from all of the pre-release press on this novel, thats exactly what they do.

Why It's On the List This novel is this high on the list since I am intrigued I like the marketing (check out the video from the cover shoot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9WFcVUEgQY). Pretty cool, right? But, no names have been released not for the hero, not for the heroine, not for anything.

This is a novel by the same author who wrote The Reluctant Fundamentalist its for people who like a little intellectualism with their romance, plus I really like the premise here...its sounds both cool and interesting.

They are forced out of their homes and eventually find themselves driven into one anothers arms. Together they discover secret doors which transport people to different cities, but once there they face a whole different kind of danger.

Why It's On the List This novel has been named one of the most anticipated books of 2017 by Time Magazine, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe and The Huffington Post.

Hamid is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author who has been nominated for/won numerous awards. Some of his previous novels have been adapted for movies, shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize and his works have been translated into more than 30 languages.

This is the 15th novel in the unbelievably popular Black Dagger Brotherhood series.

This novel focuses on the story of two non-members of the Black Dagger Brotherhood Xcor, an anti-hero, and Layla, a fallen Chosen. The teasers out for the novel talk about the return of a dangerous old enemy, which doesnt narrow it down since there have been so many of them over the course of this series! Plus, its unknown whether readers who are loyal to the Brotherhood will be invested in a story about someone who attempted to kill the Kingso this should be interesting!

Why It's On the List ITS BOOK #15!!!!! She must be doing something right!!!

Ward is an internationalbestselling, award-winning author. She is the absolute queen of vampire romance, and she writes beautifully. I love the world that she has created with this series, and I always make sure to have the next book in the series on hand so I can start it as soon as I finish the previous one.

This novel is all about lost opportunities.

The basic story here is inspired by Jane Austens book Persuasion. Is it possible to recover lost love? This novel attempts to find out.

This is the third in The Summerhouse series which focuses on a mysterious house which transports guests back in time. The odd thing is that the first two novels focus on a house in Maine, but the early comments on this novel seem to indicate it is set in Virginia.

Beyond referencing two of her most popular novels, there isnt any other information available about this novel so since I LOVE Jude Deveraux and since I LOVED the first two novels in the series (which can definitely be read as stand-alone since the first one has nothing to do with the second one), this is definitely toward the top of the most anticipated list for this year!

Why It's On the List

Deveraux has over 60 million books in print, and has had over 40 novels on the New York Times bestseller list. She is a master at creating interesting stories and characters, and in fleshing out her settings in a way that always has me wanting to road trip to the places she writes about.

This is the first in what seems to be a new series of novels about the Seattle Grizzlies football team.

This novel tells the story of Iona, the teams new defensive line coach, and Ty, the teams star defensive lineman. She doesnt get involved with players; he is too focused on his game to really play any games despite what the tabloids say then they meet each other. Sparks fly, and they are off and running.

Why It's On the List This book has the classic combination of hot athlete and tough coach and I like that the football coach is a woman. That doesnt happen enough, and this novel seems to be a refreshing change that still follows the tried and true formula for athlete romance.

This novel is told as a series of vignettes, where we meet the people around Andrea her therapist, her brother and his family, her best friend, etc.

Yep total formula hot (!!!) college quarterback; strong, independent young woman who isnt afraid to stand up for herself. Somehow they end up pretending to be engaged.

Fortunately, the novel itself sounds like it will be much betteronly time will tell.
